Over the Christmas period, Express is bringing you a series of Christmas Covers from across the island's diverse music scene, from instrumentals to pop classics.
Today, the tutors at the Jersey School of Popular Music are sharing their very own rendition of 'Jingle Bell Rock'.
Founded in 2013, The School of Popular Music is an award-winning music school. Running in both Jersey and Guernsey, they aim to create learning environments where students feel comfortable, free and able to express their opinions and ideas. In 2021, the SOPM opened up in Jersey after Chordz Music School and their tutors joined the School of Popular Music Team.
They said: "We have recorded an annual xmas song in Guernsey for the past 3 years and this is our debut across the pond. We hope to continue the tradition... A lot of fun was had making this little music video, and we hope it will really put you into the festive spirit. We wish you all a very merry Christmas from everyone here at SOPM!"
The video features SOPM tutors Piers Alexander, Annie Bonny, Chris Morgan, Ben Taylor, Phoebe Willson, Harrison Collins, Jordan Rondel.
