A local fuel company has partnered with a charity that supports islanders with learning disabilities to "lead rich and rewarding lives".

ATF Fuels will be offering Les Amis special concessions on fuel for their care homes, offices and vehicles, while its staff have pledged to donate their time volunteering for the charity and organising their own fundraising events.

The fuel provider also says its new partnership will see it help out with Les Amis' entry into the Battle of Flowers this year.

Fiona Potts, ATF's Business Development and Marketing Manager, said that the firm had been looking to help a local charity with a "strong focus on the community" and were "amazed" by Les Amis' "outlook, passion and values."

"They have a great attitude toward the work they do and provide an invaluable care service to families and those with disabilities. We are very excited to work with Les Amis and have already started to plan how our team with be contributing towards upcoming events," she commented.

Jason Loveless, Head of Support Services at Les Amis, added: “We are extremely grateful that ATF Fuels chose us as their chosen charity. This is going to be a long-term relationship which we believe will be beneficial to us both and will certainly help our residents.

"Our corporate partnerships are not always about looking for financial donations, we value people and firms who are willing to give up their time for Les Amis and generally spread awareness of what we do here.”
