After a period of extremes, March was a slightly more moderate month, according to the latest weather stats.
Milder and sunnier weather than average was recorded during the month, Jersey Met said. Here's the breakdown...
Temperatures stood at 9.7°C on average.
This was 0.9°C above the average for 1991 to 2020.
A total of 174.4 hours of sunshine were recorded during March.
This was around 13% above the 30-year average figure of 154.4 hours.
Rainfall of 64.5mm – of which around one-third fell during the first five days of the month.
This was just below the average March figure of 67.7mm.
March brought significantly less extreme weather compared with February, which Jersey Met logged as the mildest on record, as well as the dullest for 27 years and the ninth-wettest ever.
