Several outpatient clinics were cancelled at short notice as an IT problem brought disruption to the General Hospital and other Health facilities.
The Health Department said technicians had been "urgently working" to resolve the matter since problems were first encountered early on Friday.
The department indicated that it was not possible to estimate the scale of the disruption, with officials focusing on attempts to resolve the matter.
However, Express understands that several entire clinics were cancelled as a result.

In a statement, the Health department said: "We can confirm we have been experiencing IT disruption – the Modernisation and Digital Team are on-site and are urgently working to resolve the issue.
“This has led to some disruption to planned services both in the Hospital and in the community, and patients with appointments who have been affected have been notified.
"Unless you are informed otherwise, please attend your appointment as normal."
The Emergency Department has remained opened as normal, with islanders reminded to visit only if they are experiencing a medical emergency.
Concluding the statement, the Health department added: "Islanders should consider whether care, support or advice can be provided by a Pharmacy, GP surgery or the out-of-hours GP service before visiting the Emergency Department.”
