A fire has caused substantial damage to a St Brelade home this afternoon.
The postman noticed smoke coming from the bungalow, and called the fire service just after lunch-time today - fortunately, the property was unoccupied.
After closing the road, and warning neighbours to stay out of the smoke, they had to call-in back-up to tackle the blaze which was eventually brought under control.
They don't yet know what caused it, but the Fire Service say the cause isn't thought to be suspicious.
