A man has been arrested following an alleged assault in the area of Westmount Woods that left a teenage girl with minor injuries.
Police said that the incident took place on Tuesday at around 13:30.
It allegedly involved a 19-year-old girl walking a golden retriever, and a man in his 40s or 50s walking a Shar Pei dog.
The incident resulted in minor injuries to the teenager, according to police.
The force is appealing to any members of the public to come forward who may have witnessed the alleged assault.
In an appeal, police said: "It is believed there was at least one other man walking a dog in the area, who may have witnessed some of the incident or spoken to the parties involved."
