Man charged with attempted robbery of Jersey supermarket

A 22-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery at a local Morrisons store.

The alleged raid was reported to have happened at the shop on Queen’s Road on Friday evening.

Sean Bernard Downey was subsequently detained on Sunday.

He remains in custody and was due to appear in the Magistrate’s Court today.
