The trial of a man accused of causing the deaths of a father and son by dangerous driving opened in the Royal Court this morning.
Dean Lowe (48) and his 11-year-old son Charlie died after being hit by a vehicle on Rue de Fauvic in Grouville on 5 August 2023.
The Royal Court heard this morning that Dylan Pounds (29) had already pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by careless driving.

But he denies two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two charges of causing death by careless driving while under the influence of drink or drugs, and a further charge of holding a telephone whilst driving.
He is standing trial for these offences in the Royal Court this week. The trial began this morning and is expected to last eight days.
