A 33-year-old man has been jailed for three years and seven months for multiple offences including punching and biting a woman's face, leaving her with severe facial injuries.
William Watton-Roberts was sentenced today by the Royal Court for one count of grave and criminal assault, one count of cannabis possession, one count of receiving stolen goods, and one count of contempt of court.
In August last year, Watton-Roberts assaulted a female by punching her head and face several times, biting her face, grabbing her around the neck, and pulling her hair.
The assault left the woman with severe facial injuries.
Watton-Roberts was charged and remanded in custody before he pleaded guilty to the offence of grave and criminal assault in October 2023.
As a result of the investigation, a mobile phone belonging to Watton-Roberts was examined.
Footage of a male being sentenced at Royal Court was found on the device, and Watton-Roberts admitted to recording it and distributing it to others.
He pleaded guilty to an offence of contempt of court last month.
Watton-Roberts was today sentenced to three years imprisonment for the grave and criminal assault charge.
He was also sentenced to one month imprisonment for receiving stolen goods, one week for possession of cannabis, and six months for contempt of court.
