A member of staff at Le Rocquier School has tested positive for Covid.
A spokesperson for the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills, said: “We were made aware yesterday evening that a member of Le Rocquier School’s support team has tested positive for Covid-19.
“This individual has not been in school this week, therefore has had no interaction with staff, students or parents.
“The school remains open following advice from the Contract Tracing Team and all parents have been informed.
“The school continues to follow the very latest advice from the Health Department and the safety of pupils, families and staff remains paramount.”
The news follows announcements about classes at St. Saviour's and St. Michael's Schools being sent home, following positive covid tests.
The current number of positive cases in Jersey stands at 81.
Since Tuesday 20 October, 7 new cases have been identified (1 from inbound travel, 1 symptomatic individual seeking healthcare, 1 from admissions screening and 4 from contact tracing), 4 individuals have recovered.
