Midvale Road will be closed to all traffic for 12 weeks from today as work to make It one-way gets underway.
As well as traffic being made one-way from Rouge Bouillon to Val Plaisant, the works will include the installation of speed bumps and the widening of pavements.
Signed off by Infrastructure Minister Deputy Kevin Lewis last year, the plans are intended to make the area safer for the roughly 500 pedestrians who use it each day.
