A moo-ving find at the cow-wash

Friday 22 September 2017

A mischievous newborn calf spent a night at the car wash this week after getting lost from its mother – and now the garage is asking islanders to take part in naming her.

Despite being born in the early hours of Thursday morning, the little cow soon found her feet.

She accelerated down to St Mary’s En Route, where a surprised worker found her yesterday morning, having spent the night sleeping in the car wash.

Soon after, she wandered back to her home where she was reunited with the rest of her bovine family and is now said to be doing well.

“Only a day old and already causing mischief!” a spokesperson for the garage wrote on social media.

Now they’re inviting islanders to come up with their very best name suggestions.

Bubbles, Soapy, Mischief and even Dirty Mary have been suggested so far, while another islander opted for Rose Royce after the singer of 70s anthem ‘Car Wash’.

Video: One person suggested calling the day-old calf 'Rose Royce', who sang 'Car Wash'.
