New way to set sail

Friday 30 May 2014

Islanders wanting to sail to Guernsey, France or the UK can now book their own tickets at the harbour.

Condor Ferries has set up ‘self-booking’ stations in the Elizabeth Terminal.

Condor Ferries CEO James Fulford said: “The vast majority of bookings are already made via our website. However, there are people who prefer to come to the port to make their bookings and we are making it easier for them by providing self-service booking terminals.

“The Elizabeth Terminal reservations desk will continue to be open throughout the day and is backed up by the self-service terminals which are able to provide additional self booking facilities.”

This year the ferry company has also introduced ways of booking travel using a smartphone.

The self-service terminals in departures will be available in the summer from 6 am until 8 pm and during the winter from 7 am until 8 pm.
