New year, new website for Genuine Jersey

Sunday 31 December 2017

Genuine Jersey will get a brand new website in the new year, as the Association works to improve how local businesses engage with their customers and promote their talent.

The local products association also wants to see more businesses becoming a sponsor member or join the community.

Following the success of the Genuine Jersey Christmas Markets, John Garton, the Chief Executive Officer, told Express what the association will be up to in the coming year...

"2018 is an exciting year for Genuine Jersey as we look to take our members in a new direction to keep up with the changing times. Being a successful small business owner is not just about having a great product and business plan in place, it’s about connecting with your audience and making sure your business is seen, in order to stand out and shine.

"We will be focusing on helping our members improve their engagement through social media channels, targeting their customers and discovering how best to showcase their talent through a variety of mediums. Our wish is to make being a small business owner in Jersey as easy and as simple as possible to encourage more talent to develop on own Island. With our guidance and support, we hope to make dreams come true, giving local artisans and producers the opportunity to develop and grow their business into something truly magnificent.

"A Christmas wish that we know will be granted, is that our website will be having a facelift early next year, making it easier to find individual members and Genuine Jersey products, as well as finding out more about what our members are up to.

"Genuine Jersey will also be looking to showcase the enormous support provided by our sponsor members.  One of our Christmas wishes would be to educate others as to the benefits of becoming a sponsor member and encourage more to join our community, to be part of a larger success story. "
