No freight movement during Her Majesty's funeral

Thursday 15 September 2022

There will be no freight or commercial activity at the Harbour during Her Majesty's funeral on Monday, it has been confirmed.

While Ports of Jersey said the harbour would be impacted by the bank holiday marking Her Majesty's State Funeral, it stated that flights would still be running "as scheduled".

Some Airport retailers' trading hours will change, however.

WH Smith will be open bank holiday hours, but closed between 10:30 and 12:30, while Duty Free will be open all day but operating with reduced staffing.

Jersey Pearl, La Mare and Durrell will be closed all day.

JP Restaurants' cafés at both the Airport and Harbour will be operating with normal trading hours.

Ports also confirmed that screens will be put up at Jersey Airport to allow travellers to watch the Queen's funeral.
