Islanders will no longer have to maintain a two-metre distance at funerals from tomorrow.
The Health Minister has lifted the guidance, meaning that more people will be able to attend services within churches and the crematorium and hug each other.
Masks will still have to be worn if more than 50 people are in attendance.
Deputy Richard Renouf said the decision was taken after “careful consideration”, adding: “Due to the special nature of funerals, I am sure many Islanders will welcome this change to public health guidance which has only been possible due to the continued support from the community who are consistently attending their vaccination appointments and adhering to covid-19 guidelines.”
