Overseas Aid projects for 2018 to span the globe

Sunday 08 October 2017

To mark its 50th anniversary Jersey Overseas Aid is planning to make next year one of its most ambitious ever with community work projects spanning the globe.

JOA says it’ll be presenting more details about the projects it’ll be supporting in Tanzania, Mongolia and Lebanon at a special launch project later this month.

Deputy Carolyn Labey, Chair of JOA, commented “Next year’s trips carry on proud the tradition of Jersey volunteers making a huge difference to the lives of some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. These projects are truly life-changing, both for the host communities and the amazing Islanders who make them happen.”

The public launch will be on Wednesday 18th October 19:30 at St Paul’s Centre, St Helier. For those unable to attend the event, JOA will be posting the details on its website www.joa.je
