Pair to face trial over alleged rape of teenage girl

Saturday 13 April 2019

Two men will be facing a jury trial in May over the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl which it's claimed happened decades ago.

Ian Pryor and Antony John Quant have both been charged with a count of rape.

The assault allegedly took place at St. Aubin's Fort decades ago.

The men have also been charged in connection with a separate incident that it is claimed took place in the same location. Ian Pryor is accused of having raped the young girl a second time, while Antony John Quant is facing a charge of indecent assault.

Both men, who were respectively represented by Advocates Luke Sette and Adam Harrison, have entered not guilty pleas against all charges.

Mr Quant is in custody while Mr Pryor has been released on conditional bail.

They will both appear in court on 8 May for a pleas and directions hearing.

They will then face a three-day jury trial in the Royal Court starting from 25 May.
