Police on lookout for more drivers in search for Adrian

Police are still trying to track down some drivers who may have seen Adrian Lynch on the night he went missing.

They now want to speak to the driver of car seen heading past Thistlegrove towards St John just after images of a man they believe was Adrian were caught on CCTV outside the small industrial estate showing him heading in the opposite direction down La Grande Route de St Laurent.

They don’t know the make and model of the car but think it may be dark coloured with a high roof and was spotted at 2.23am, just six minutes after the CCTV sighting on Saturday 5 December.

They also want to speak to another driver who they think was a taxi driver and who was heading in the same direction as they think Adrian was at just after 2.30 am.

Police are still appealing for dozens of drivers who were driving through St Lawrence on the night Adrian Lynch went missing to come forward - they say 34 motorists drove past Thistlegrove in the early hours of 5 December, but only a few have got in touch.

They have emphasised that there is no evidence to suggest anything suspicious in his disappearance.

The physical search for Adrian has been scaled down after more than two weeks of a huge effort led by the police that saw search teams, sniffer dogs, drone flights, divers and the Channel Islands Air Search Plane called into action.

Although that part of the operation has been cut back, investigators have not given up on what's been codenamed "Operation Panama" - they have detectives following up more than 100 evidential leads. They are still working on the theory that Adrian was inebriated after a works do, and was suffering from hypothermia and disorientation, and that he is probably dead.
