Jersey Police have named the young man killed in a car crash in St Peter's Valley this weekend as 18-year-old Aaron Banks.
They say Aaron's family are now being supported by specialist officers.
It's believed that around 16:20 on Saturday afternoon, Aaron was driving a red Suzuki Jimny north through the Valley when a collision with a blue Ford Focus occurred close to the junction with Mont Fallu.
The people in the second car weren't hurt. St. Peter's Valley was closed for the the rest of the evening while Forensic Collision Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators assessed the scene, assisted by the Honorary Police.
Aaron lived on Longueville Road in St Saviour, and the States Police have extended their condolences to his family and friends.
