Police are appealing for information about a collision between two cars that led to a serious fire.

All three emergency services were called to Grande Route de St Martin on Tuesday at around 15:00 after a blue Mini Cooper and a black Fiat Panda collided on the junction with La Fosse a L'Ecrivain and La Rue des Pigneaux.

The 67-year-old female driver of the black Fiat Panda was taken to hospital where Police said she remains in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the blue Mini Cooper – a male in his 30s – was taken to the Emergency Department and treated for injuries before being discharged.

Police are now asking anyone who saw what happened or who has CCTV or dashcam footage or any information to contact them by calling 612612.

Anonymous reports can be made by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their online form.
