A load of prizes have been locked up in the Post Office and you have two weeks to try and win one.
Foreign currency, gift vouchers, Christmas cards and stamps have been stashed in a bank of lockers in the Broad Street branch and you’ll have to pick up a special code to unlock a winner.
The competition will give you the chance to try out Jersey Post’s new lock up service being introduced early next year.
Posties will be locking up parcels across the Island so that customers won’t have to miss a delivery.
Jersey Post’s Chief Executive Tim Brown said: “We are very pleased to be the first company in the Channel Islands to introduce this service. It marks a major investment by Jersey Post but we believe it will prove popular with customers because of the greater convenience and flexibility that the lockers can offer in terms of location and pick up time. Jersey Post is constantly seeking ways to add value for money and these parcel lockers raise the bar in terms of customer service and satisfaction.”
Anyone who registers for the service will get sent a pin code on their mobile phone that will open the door to their mail that can be picked up any time of the day or night, seven days a week. It will take away the hassle of having to wait a day to go and collect it from Commercial Street.
The lockers come in four different sizes to fit all types of packages and you can even get your food and drink deliveries stored in a lock up fridge or freezer.
They’ll be phased in over the next two years and will eventually be available in all the parishes.
