A tribute act to Queen with a local guitarist has been announced as the headliner for this year's Battle of Flowers Moonlight Parade.
UK Queen, a tribute act to British rock band Queen, will headline the finale of this year's Moonlight Parade on Saturday 10 August.
Led by Alexander Koronka, who has portrayed Freddie Mercury for over a decade, UK Queen has performed across the world.
The band's lead guitarist, Johnny Senett, who plays Brian May, was born and raised in Jersey.

Adam Flynn, Event Director, said: "We are thrilled to announce that UK Queen will rock you at the Moonlight Parade this year.
"With their incredible performances, we're certain they'll be a kind of magic that ensures we all have a killer time."
Meanwhile, Eurovision star Sam Ryder, who won over the continent's audiences in 2022 with his song Space Man, is to perform on Friday.

The singer is set to take part in the Battle Day parade, held on 9 August from 16:00, followed by a full-length concert.
Marti Pellow, former Wet Wet Wet frontman, will headline the inaugural Battle of Flowers Sunday concert on 11 August in the Lower Park as part of a greatest-hits tour.
Mr Pellow is known for hits like 'Love is All Around', which spent 15 weeks at number one in the UK charts and appeared in the Richard Curtis 1994 film Four Weddings and a Funeral.

He will be supported by islander Josh Hearmon, whose musical influences include R&B, soul, hip-hop and reggae.
An audience favourite from 2023, the Notting Hill Carnival band Flagz, are due to return to both parades too.
Organisers have also highlighted that this year's Battle of Flowers is due to see all 12 parishes represented – with St Martin, St John and Trinity joining up to form the 'Northern Alliance', and St Mary and St Ouen teaming up to enter.

In preparation for the festival, the Battle of Flowers team has also organised an island-wide roadshow which aims to foster a closer connection between the festival and its supporters.
Brooke Le Breton, the new Box Office Manager, said: "The roadshow is a fantastic opportunity for us to meet Battle fans face-to-face, offer personalised ticket advice, and make the ticket purchasing process as smooth as possible."
The roadshow will launch at Charing Cross in St Helier on Monday 22 July 22 from 10:00 until 16:00.
