A popular Eastern café with "amazing customers", bursting burgers and a cable car in its courtyard is changing hands after three years.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the Ranch Café's management team said the time had come for them to move on from the café to spend more time with family.
They wrote: "[It] is with a heavy heart that we are saying goodbye to you all, goodbye to all of the amazing memories, customers and support that we have had over the years.
"We cannot express enough how much we have enjoyed our journey over the years with The Ranch, it has been everything and more that we could’ve ever wished for."
They added: "We have put our absolute heart and soul into this restaurant, it has been the most amazing years, and we wish them all the best for the future.
"The time has come for us to take a step back, spend some time as a family, start slowing down and really focus on moving forward."
The new management team are yet to be announced, but they were described in the goodbye post as "absolutely fabulous", "full of beans", and "very excited". They will also be taking over the Old Bankhouse Hotel in the same Gorey building.
The Ranch Café and Farm Shop opened in St Peter in September 2020 – but had to close the next month after it transpired the owners had not secured planning permission.
They opened two spin-off restaurants – the Ranch West in St Ouen, and the Ranch East in Gorey.
However, the former had to close in 2021.
