Struck by the number of unused postboxes in Jersey, a regular visitor to the island has come up with a novel idea for them that could help charity... Read more about it then vote in our poll.
Dear Editor,
As a family, we have holidayed in Jersey a number of times in the past three years and on our many walks we couldn’t help noticing how many red post boxes were no longer in use.
I wonder if these could be used for donations from the public with, for example, a different charity for each post box or in fact one charity for all the boxes for a month at a time?
I know Jersey is a very safe place but I presume it would be prudent to clear the cash from them regularly to prevent the letter boxes being broken into.
Best wishes,
