Following their success in the Jersey round of de Putron Challenge, Year 8 students from Victoria College and Year 6 students from Jersey College Preparatory School went up against the winners of the Guernsey heat on Thursday 16 May.
Victoria College students took home the Year 8 trophy, while Guernsey's Forest Primary School won the Year 6 final.
The de Putron Challenge brings together Jersey and Guernsey pupils to test their general knowledge, math, and creative thinking skills.
The inter-island event was virtual this year, having been rescheduled from earlier in the year when the Guernsey schools were unable to travel to Jersey due to foggy conditions.
The Guernsey schools, along with quizmaster John Fernandez from BBC Guernsey, gathered at Beau Sejour with a live video link connecting them to the Jersey schools and quizmaster Charlie McArdle from BBC Jersey at The Royal Jersey Showground.
Forest Primary School won the Year 6 final after beating Jersey College Preparatory by six points and scoring 26 overall.
Later in the day, Victoria College and Les Beaucamps High School went head-to-head in the Year 8 final for the trophy.
Victoria College gained an edge to win overall with 31 points to Les Beaucamps High School's 27 points.
Hayley de Putron, a Trustee of the Ana Leaf Foundation and founder of the de Putron Challenge, said: "Congratulations to Forest Primary School and Victoria College for winning the inter-island final in their respective year groups.
"All of the teams who competed today performed to such a high standard, and they should all be extremely proud of themselves."
