The annual competition that has town-goers walking in a window wonderland is back for its eighth year in a row, with shops aiming to impress with their best festive window dress to win the public’s vote.
This year’s Christmas Window Display competition is officially launching next week, with retailers giving their front windows a seasonal makeover in the hope of winning the coveted trophy.
Entries are divides into five categories: small, medium and large business, community window and overall winner. The winner of each of these categories will be determined completely by the public vote.
There will also be a judges’ choice award chosen by this year’s judges Constable Simon Crowcroft, Jersey Chamber of Commerce CEO Murray Norton and radio presenter Ashlea Tracey.

The competition will be launching on Thursday and voting will open the day after. Voters will be in with the chance of winning prizes themselves from a hamper to gift vouchers.
Commenting on the competition, Constable Crowcroft said: “I applaud this exciting and fun initiative… [I] encourage all retailers to participate and make this Christmas really special.”
