Jersey’s Infrastructure department is taking advantage of the half-term break to get on with roadworks on the St Helier ring road.
Daily from today until the end of the week St Saviour’s Road will be closed between Stopford Road and Wellington Road from 09:15 until 18:00.
The department says “the project will complete the road safety improvements at the bottom of Wellington Road and also incorporates further vehicle speed reduction measures”.
Whilst the work’s being carried out southbound traffic will be diverted through town at St Mark’s Road. Northbound traffic is unaffected. The exit from Wellington Road on to St Saviour’s Road will remain open, however access to Wellington Road will only be possible from Bagatelle Road.
It’s hoped to have the work done by the end of the week – but the department says that depends on having good weather.
