Property prices may be causing a struggle for aspiring buyers across the Channel Islands, but, for anyone willing to set up shop in Alderney, there's a "unique opportunity" on the market for a cut price.
Following a price reduction, Alderney’s former Salvation Army Hall is on the market for £150,000.
The Alderney Corps of the Salvation Army closed in January 2023 after a 142-year presence in the island, with a dwindling membership blamed.
The Corps agreed to sell its High Street Mission Hall in St Anne following the closure.
It has since been listed on the market with the price recently reduced to £150,000 for the freehold.
Estate agents Bell & Co Ltd said it “offers a unique opportunity to the next owner”.
The 1840 building features a small upstairs room alongside the cavernous main room with a 22ft high ceiling.
In the back it has a small kitchen, boiler room and toilet.
