The organisers of Sarkfest 2023 are currently searching for ‘school-age bands’ to take part in this year’s festival, with £1,000-worth of prize money up for grabs.
The annual event – which will take place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 July – will this year be dedicating the final afternoon of the three-day festival to pre-teen and teenage bands for a ‘Battle of the Channel Islands Schools’ competition.
Co-organiser of Sarkfest 2023, Mark Guillou said: "We are looking for school-age bands because this is where our next generation of performers will be coming from.
"Manche Iles Express will be doing day trips from Jersey all weekend so it is an opportunity that is too good to miss."
There is £1,000-worth of prize money up for grabs for participating bands and Sarkfest attendees will be invited to pick the winners.

"The band members don’t all need to come from the same school but they do need to be aged 16 or under, and they will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult." added Mark.
