Islanders are being urged to contribute to a project led by an eco-friendly supermarket that provides fresh produce to those in need.
The Sustainable Cooperative (SCOOP), which operates from Bienvenue Farm in St Lawrence, has already delivered over 1,000 kg of food to the Salvation Army thanks to the generosity of one customer.
The not-for-profit organisation is now calling on more islanders to contribute to the project.
SCOOP co-founder Kaspar Wimberley said: "We would love to hear from any businesses or individuals who might like to join this initiative.
"People pay a monthly amount into the scheme, which is used to purchase seasonal produce from a range of local farmers."
The donated food is sourced from organic farmers, and then delivered and distributed by the Salvation Army to vulnerable islanders.
In addition to food parcels, the Christian charity provides electrical vouchers and operates a community café serving free soup daily.
Those interested in contributing to the Salvation Army Organic Drop Box initiative can contact SCOOP at: scoop@scoop.org.je.
