Spice Festival has moved to Millbrook Park as it returns for its seventh year.
The family-friendly festival will take place this weekend with a lineup of live music, children’s entertainment, storytelling and stalls run by local artists and designers.
After being told at the beginning of this year that they would no longer be able to use Gorey Common to host the festival, organisers of Spice, Bianca Padidar and Sarah Jordan are hoping that the fresh location will bring new visitors to the arts and music festival.
Bianca and Sarah, who set Spice up as a charity, say they continue to feel passionately about promoting the wealth of local creative talent that Jersey has to offer.
Alongside established practitioners, Spice has also developed a number of educational projects where students and members of the public have the opportunity to explore their own creativity.

At this year’s festival, milliner and artist Lucy Hodges will be running interactive recycled projects for children. Kazz Padidar will be doing bushcraft and shelter building and Alcindo Pinto will be running willow sculpture projects with children in the festival's new creative woodland area.
Sitas Circus, Chordz, Stop Motion, Performing Arts, Total Mayhem and Relax Kids will be offering interactive workshops and entertainment for children. There will be poetry, spoken word and storytelling from Jersey Festival of Words as well as a selection of therapists who will be offering advice and taster sessions within their chosen field.
Alongside enjoying the locally made arts and crafts, visitors will also be able to purchase Genuine Jersey produce or enjoy the wide variety of food and drink in a new food village.

Entrance to the festival is free, however donations are welcome in order to continue supporting this event.
Spice Festival would like to extend their thanks to Signtech and Genuine Jersey for their continued support and generous sponsorship.
