A local signer-songwriter is looking for your votes to be named Britain’s Best Unsigned Male.
Nineteen-year-old Jordan Burrows has been nominated for the title at the 2014 Unsigned Music Awards.
The Jersey-born singer has been writing and recording his own songs since he was 14 and has played across music venues and clubs in London, at Jersey Live, and on a UK tour organized by La Motte Street Youth Centre.
Online voting has opened at http://www.bestofbritishunsigned.com/unsigned-music-awards/awards/best-male/ and Jordan says that he’s been delighted with the support so far.
He said: "I am so happy, delighted and shocked to have been nominated for such an important accolade, which could potentially be a huge turning point for me if I was to win the award for Best Male Unsigned.
“I really hope Jersey will get behind me to vote and I have been humbled by all of the encouragement and support I have received so far.”
Voting for the awards – which are run on a non-profit basis to support young British music talent - closes on Sunday.
Jordan cites Muse, Ed Sheeran and Ben Howard as influences, and you can see and hear his music through the voting link, or on his YouTube page youtube.com/jordanburrowsmusic.
