Teen hospitalised after Waterfront collision

Monday 25 June 2018

A teenager was left with a serious leg injury requiring urgent medical attention over the weekend after a car crashed into him and a friend.

The 19-year-old was crossing the road with another man in his late teens in the area of Jardins de la Mer car park on Friday at 17:55.

A grey Seat car hit both teenagers as it pulled out of the junction where La Rue de L’Etau meets La Route de la Liberation, heading towards the West.

Although the car was described as travelling “at low speed”, the collision nonetheless left the 19-year-old with a “serious injury to his leg which… required a stay in hospital.”
