Two 17-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a dramatic crash last night which saw a car smash through railings and nosedive onto the road below.
Police officers said the collision - at the junction of St. John's Road and Roussel Street - happened around 21:20 last night.
"A silver Ford Fiesta travelling down St. John’s Road collided with a lamp post and roadside barrier eventually coming to rest over the barrier on Roussel Street below. Ambulance attended to deal with minor injuries," the Force said.
They added that two teenagers - one said to be the driver of the silver Ford Fiesta that crashed, and the other driving behind in a black car of the same make and model - had been arrested.
Both have now been released on bail while investigations continue.
