Waves breaking over sea walls during high tide tonight and tomorrow morning are expected to cause disruption on roads – and there is a chance of flooding on the south coast.
The Jersey Met Office has issued its second-highest level warning – an “Orange Alert” – which means that Islanders should pay caution to weather and tide conditions, and follow the advice of the authorities.
The high tide tonight (at 6.57 pm) and tomorrow morning (at 7.17 am) are expected to cause problems on the south coast.
The full warning from the Met Office says: “Waves breaking over sea walls are expected to cause problems with water and debris on roads along Jersey’s south coast on tonight's and Thursday mornings tides.
“Some flooding may occur.”
The Met Office is also forecasting force four winds today, dying down over the next few days.
The weekend is forecast to be dry, with temperatures of around 16 degrees both days.
