A tourist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in town last night.
The 21-year-old woman needed hospital treatment, but was not seriously hurt.
She was hit by a white Ford Fiesta on Halkett Place outside Burtons at around 9 pm.
Police closed the road for a short time while they dealt with the incident.
The Ford was being driven by another 21-year-old woman, who was spoken to by police at the scene. The police said this morning that it had been a simple accident, and that no charges would be brought in relation to the accident.
They also spoke to witnesses at the scene.
