Police say that they are “confident” that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding a body that was discovered in St Mary.
They began investigations on Sunday 21 January after the deceased male was found in the found in the area of Crabbé around 09:40.
Shortly after 11:15, Police announced that they were no longer searching for an islander who had been reported missing.
In the subsequent hours, a number of the missing man’s family and friends added a banner to their Facebook profile pictures indicating that they were in mourning.

The name or age of the deceased man are still yet to be released, and Police say that investigations into his death have not yet concluded.
However, a spokesperson told Express that the Force are “confident that nothing suspicious has taken place”, but were not yet in a position to issue a full update.
