Van driver "shaken up" after alleged assault

Thursday 07 December 2023

A man allegedly grabbed a van driver by the neck and struck his van during an incident in St Helier last week.

Police say the disturbance happened while the vehicle was parked on Pierson Road, near Pets Paradise, at about 07:20 on Friday 24 November.

The van "sustained some damage" and the driver, who was not in the vehicle at the time, was "shaken up by the ordeal", the force said.

A man was interviewed by the police before being released while investigations continue.

Anyone with information is being asked to phone the Police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
