Jersey’s prison service is on the hunt for more officers to staff HMP La Moye.
Two serving prison officers will be manning a stand in Broad Street between 09:00 and 12:00 today for potential applicants to come and find out more.
Prison Governor Susie Richardson said she was hoping to “attract a diverse pool of candidates who will be both passionate about upholding the standards of the States of Jersey Prison Service, but also providing a high level of quality care for our prisoners”, of which there are up to 150 at any one time.
She added that a priority for the service was to “reintegrate prisoners back into the community using evidence-based research from across the world, to ensure that our rates of reoffending are kept at a minimum.”
