A busy road in town will be closed off all week during half term.
The east end of Stopford Road just before the junction with St Saviour’s Road is being resurfaced, and will be closed off from 9 am to 4 pm.
Transport and Technical Services say the work needs to be done because the road is overly worn and has lost some of its skid resistance.
Work started on Saturday, and TTS will also be reshaping the road to make it safer.
The road between its junctions with La Rue Le Masurier and St Saviour’s Road will be closed as follows:
Monday 16 Feb – Fri 20 Feb: 9am – 4pm
Saturday 21 Feb: 9am – 1pm
Diversions will be signposted via Stopford Road to the west, David Place, St Mark’s Road Janvrin Road and Springfield Road.
Bus routes 13, 21 and 23 will follow the diversion routes, but one stop opposite Hotel de France has to be suspended during the work.
