Zesty Lemon, Apple Crunch, or Jersey Eton Mess… Which ice cream flavour would you scream for?
After milking the opportunity to come up with a new flavour of ice cream in a competition launched by Jersey Dairy and the Co-op last month, three islanders are now just one step away from having their ice cream dreams turned into a reality.
Having beaten off competition from 500 other entrants following a panel taste test, their flavours are now being put to a public vote.

Islanders will have one week to vote on which flavour should ‘scoop’ victory – Zesty Lemon, Apple Crunch or Jersey Eton Mess – either through the Co-op website or in Grand Marché St. Helier or St. Peter.
The winner will see their new flavour hit shelves in late May/early June, and will also be awarded a tour around Jersey Dairy with a friend to see their ice cream being produced.
Co-op CEO Colin Macleod commented: “We were absolutely thrilled with the number of entries submitted. It certainly made the shortlisting process very difficult. The entries were all tremendously creative and we’re grateful to everyone who took the time to submit an idea. We’re looking forward to announcing the winning flavour and seeing it on our shelves as a tribute to the Co-op serving the Island’s communities for 100 years.”
