Woman pleads 'not guilty' to Facebook message death threat

Thursday 09 March 2023

A 58-year-old woman has denied telling another woman that she had "paid someone to kill" one of her relatives.

Appearing in the Magistrate's Court this week, Susan Ann Louis was charged with breaching a restraining order by sending messages on 23 January, 5 February, 1 March and 5 March this year.

The 5 March message is said to have stated: "Tell her I've just paid someone to kill her."

However, Ms Louis pleaded not guilty to breaching the order.

She was released on bail to return to the court on 14 April for a pre-trial and directions hearing.
