Software and technology are proving to be the perfect canvas for youngsters to get creative.

The work of some of the Island's talented digital artists, as young as seven, has gone on show for the first time in the Jersey Art Centre Bar Gallery.

The exhibition, featuring all sorts from superheroes to detailed wildlife, has been put together by local artists David Gregory and Joanna Brown who set up Motion Studio two years ago to teach youngsters how to use their computers creatively.

Joanna said: “We teach them traditional techniques like composition, inking, colour theory combined with learning how to use professional programs and software efficiently.

“We are really proud of what they have achieved, their skill as artists, dedication and digital know-how, working on programs that are used by profession digital illustrators and graphic designers.”

The exhibition, sponsored by B.C.S - The Chartered Institute for IT, runs until 15 June.
