A former rugby and basketball athlete turned wealth manager has shared his favourite ways to relax.
Andy Whelan's day job is Executive Chairman of Oaklands Secure Lending, which provides financing for bridge, development, refurbishment and other forms of secured lending in Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar.
When he is not in the office, however, he loves to train, especially in CrossFit, a passion which led him to co-found CrossFit Valiant.

I love CrossFit and working out at CrossFit Valiant, which I founded with some friends, has always been my go-to place when I want to unwind.
This may sound bizarre, but I find it helps clear my mind and allows me to stop pressure from turning into stress. I also love training with my sons when possible, watching rugby and playing padel or tennis.Healthy body, healthy mind!
If I am not able to work out, reading a book would be my next preferred option.
...a spicy Italian sausage meat pasta.
While I enjoy most food, this is definitely a favourite.
...a nice cold lager shandy (Panaché!) or a heavy red wine.
The latter, of course, goes really well with my pasta!

There are so many good quality options available now. I quite like Joe Rogan’s podcasts as he interviews some really interesting people from diverse backgrounds
