Sophie Moulson's job running play and well-being sessions in outdoor spaces across the island is extremely active... but what does the nature-loving mother-of-three do when she wants to slow down?
Sophie Moulson is the owner and founder of Nature Base, which she launched last summer.
She runs mature play and well-being sessions for families — from babies right through to young people and adults — providing activities in woodland settings and green spaces in various locations across the island.
Passionate about providing opportunities for families and children to flourish in an outdoor environment, it is no surprise that Sophie's own family plays a big part in Nature Base and the vision they have for the sessions it provides.
It should also be no surprise that being outdoors with her family is one of Sophie's favourite ways to unwind... but it's not the only one!
I feel like this should be something natural and healthy but... it's chocolate! Does the mix of the cocoa count?
A rare evening with my feet up, relaxing on the sofa, with my husband and the children snoring in their beds, with a nice bar of Dairy Milk or Minstrels will do nicely!
I do love still water with a slice of lemon, it reminds me of being in The Grand Hotel spa relaxation room!
Very refreshing and better for you than the chocolate!
JJ Heller, beautiful JJ Heller has been my go-to music for relaxing during pregnancy with my last two children (I have three children: a nearly-two-year old, a six-year-old, and a 22-year-old).
JJ Heller's voice and words are so beautiful you can just feel the tension drift away. Moon River was my particular favourite song when I had my son Finneas to imagine I was swimming, laying in a river or floating away in a boat.
I also love to listen to podcasts. Normally they are either Christian, motivational speakers, leadership, nature- or family-related; things that I can reflect and learn from.
I have so many books on the go, some sort of Rewild, Nature connection or Nature activities planning book.
I am always studying something and planning sessions and events so I normally read a few different books at once, with Audible now coming into play whilst I am on the go — it's great for busy mums!
My husband and I do like to find a good Netflix series to kick back and unwind to, although currently we are watching ITV's The Bay.
I like being out in nature. If I can get up early a few times a week and go for a walk in nature, it really helps me to clear my head, get the creative thoughts rolling, and get some exercise!
We love to be out and about in the outdoors with our children, and you will often find us in muddy puddles in the winter, a little stream near our house in Spring, walking or on the beach in the summer, and kicking leaves in the Autumn.
