David Hicks’ apprenticeship as an antique restorer was the beginning of what is now acclaimed to be one of the most prestigious businesses dealing in quality interiors, and home design.
Alexandra House, at Carrefour Selous is itself a rare and beautifully preserved example of a Victorian Shoppe. A showcase for fine antiques in a period setting, the restored antique period rooms, houses some rare and truly magnificent pieces. David Hick is synonymous with antiques, quality and fine furniture and still very much involved in the antique side of the business, each period piece is selected by himself. An appreciation of design and well made furniture has been the foundation to all that is new at Carrefour Selous.
The new building which spans some 12,000 square feet is situated over three galleried floors, the frontage has been designed to look like a church hall.
It stands in the shadow and emulates the charm of the old Methodist chapel that was built in 1860. The chapel has been restored over the last 10 years and can be used as an exhibition and events centre.
We have many fine antiques in stock please contact us directly with your requirements, we are also able to source pieces for special projects.
