A Jersey team will soon be taking part in a prestigious competition known as 'The Champions League of Pétanque' for their seventh consecutive year.
Players from Jersey's Liberation Pétanque Club will be taking part in The European Cup for Clubs and are hoping to make a significant impact.
Having all represented Jersey in the Home Nations tournament this summer – where they beat England for the first time in over two decades – the team are hoping to produce similar shocks to some of Europe's best teams.

The Euro Cup takes place in the purpose-built boulodrome in Sin-Le-Noble in Northern France from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 November.
Jersey will be facing some of Europe's best teams including the French Frejus International Pétanque, which includes Dylan Rocher and Diego Rizzi, the two best players in the world.
Due to lack of sponsorship, the players have covered the cost of the tournament themselves explained Toby Northern, Chairman of Liberation Pétanque Club.
Wendy Ritzema, a member of the squad said she felt honoured to have been selected to represent Jersey once again.
"I feel honoured to have been selected to be part of the Liberation Pétanque Club squad representing Jersey in the Euro Cup. The training has been excellent with the Club Chairman offering encouragement and positive feedback to us all.
"The squad has gelled well and the camaraderie is second to none. I have played in Europe before in a Ladies Triples team, but playing for the Club I belong to, is extra special.
"The venue looks amazing and we will be playing against some of the best players in the world. Win or lose, it will be a privilege and I’m sure a wonderful experience."
