Man United legend to visit Jersey next month

Former Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is set to visit the island next month.

The ex-Welsh international will visit the Freedom Centre on 15 November for ‘an evening with’ Ryan Giggs.

The Cardiff born former left-winger will discuss his experiences about his career on the pitch which came to a close in 2014 after he competed in all major competitions including the Premier League, the FA Cup, and Champions League.

In fact, Giggs remains the player with the most Premier League titles at 13 and he also has four FA Cup winners medals, three League Cup titles, two UEFA Champions Leagues, a FIFA Club World Cup winners medal, an Intercontinental Cup winners medal, a UEFA Super Cup win and nine FA Community Shield wins to his name.

He became the first player ever to win two consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year awards in 1991 and 1992 and the only man to play in the first 22 consecutive Premier League seasons, scoring in each of the first 21 of them.

During his time in Jersey fans will be able to ask their burning questions to one of the famous 'Class of '92' graduates, who also took over as Interim Manager of the Red Devils after David Moyse in 2014.

Multiple ticket packages are available, with some including private 'meet and greets', as well as custom signed photos.

A spokesperson for MNT Talent, who are facilitating the event, said: "If you're a football fan, then these 'evening with' events are an incredible opportunity to get up close and personal and hear first hand about all the iconic sporting moments over their professional career, in this case Ryans incredible history spanning 3 decades as a player and manager. 

"Guests can enjoy a meet & greet, have a professional photo taken, purchase or win exclusive signed merchandise and pose their own questions to Ryan."
