The ThunderCats made a triumphant return from Dublin this weekend, clinching first place in an indoor tournament hosted by Softball Ireland.
The softball team took home the silverware for the second consecutive year, cruising undefeated through the group stages of the one-day event and battling against two strong Irish sides in the final rounds.
They faced Belfast Softball in the semi-final, before securing victory in a nail-biting final against North Dublin side, BatPack Softball club.
The final ended 35-28 in the ThunderCats' favour, marking a fitting conclusion to an impressive run for the team's first event of 2025.

ThunderCats team captain, Robin Tadier, expressed his pride in the team’s performance and the strong relationships they’ve built through the sport.
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to form such strong and lasting friendships within the Irish softball community through our overseas competition,” he said.
“I’m always amazed by the enthusiasm and commitment to the sport we have on the island. These trips are self-funded, as is much of the participation in our local league, but we consistently bring teams with such depth of talent."
Also the president of the Jersey Softball Association, Mr Tadier added that it is important to increase access and grow their game on and off-island.
“It’s a real joy to be welcomed into this tournament and to compete against such high-calibre players. I hope that as a travelling team, and more widely as a sport, we can find ways to increase access to these off-island events.
"The association is always working to escalate the level of play, and I’m thrilled that so many teams are looking to expand their off-island competition as a way to elevate player development."
